At the funeral, Bob, Liz and the rest of the team handled every detail flawlessly so that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. They were always standing by to make sure everyone’s needs were met and watching for any sign of distress or trouble. It was a huge relief and weight off our shoulders to have them there.

It's sad losing a loved one, but knowing the care and respect that mom received from them made us very happy. I know that mom would've been happy with everything they did for her and for us.
Thank you for everything you did for mom and for our family!
The team at Myers Buhrig really gave me an appreciation for the complexity and difficulty of their work: they are grief counselors, event planners, writers, graphic designers, decorators, coordinators, make-up artists and more — and need to pull off all this during a time of extremely volatile emotions and high expectations. They nail it on every single one of these elements of their job. I am so grateful that we went with them and while I hope not to need their service again anytime soon, there’s no one else I would call.
Bob from Myers-Buhrig was a great comfort to my family and working with him was the only light during a very dark time. From the moment he arrived at our home when my stepfather passed away, it was clear that he is an incredibly compassionate man and possesses quite a gift for reading people and guiding them through difficult moments.
Myers-Buhrig Funeral Home went above and beyond to comfort my family during an extremely difficult unexpected death in my family. Mr. Bob Buhrig is one of the most compassionate people I have ever had the honor of meeting. Thank you for everything!
Losing a loved one can be a very difficult and confusing time. For us, everything moved very quickly from the time my mom received her terminal cancer diagnosis until her death. We were cautious in selecting a funeral home, we wanted everything to be perfect for mom, the way she would want it and we wanted her and us, as the family, to be treated with dignity and respect.
Mom was bedridden and unable to leave the house. Bob visited with us at my parent's house to start the funeral process. Bob was very kind, understanding and most important of all, he listened to what we wanted and didn't push or try to get us anything my mom or the family didn't want or need. We felt very comfortable and most importantly, Mom felt very comfortable meeting Bob and she knew Bob and Myers-Buhrig Funeral home was who she wanted to have her earthly body's final preparations with.
We were concerned with how mom's body was going to look in her casket. My had a tracheotomy and swelling in her neck from the tumors. Myers-Buhrig did a fantastic job on mom. Mom looked happy, peaceful, beautiful and most important of all cancer free. She looked like she did before the cancer diagnosis. We can't thank them enough. The final vision of my mother was beautiful and that is how I'm going to remember her.
When mom finally succumbed to the cancer and passed away, Bob came and picked mom's body up to take to the funeral home. The moment him and his assistant walked in, us and my mom's body were treated with dignity and respect. They gave us all the time we needed to say our final good bye's. Bob explained everything that they were going to do to remove mom's body form the house and gave us the option if we wanted to leave or stay. He made sure we knew everything being done, asking if we had any questions and asked for permission throughout the removal of her body from my parent's house.
Bob Buhrig and his team are the most genuinely caring people I have ever been associated with. We lost our son and from the very first contact with Bob we knew that he was in the best care possible. He cried with us. He laughed with us. We knew he was more than a funeral director. He became a good friend. From a short meeting he was able to understand our pain and sorrow and more importantly knew the type of Celebration of Life we wanted for our son. Everything he and his team did for us was exceptional. He met our specific requests to the finest detail. The Celebration of Life for our son Matt was beautiful and heart warming and a wonderful tribute to our son. I'll never forget the genuine care and love he showed while caring for Matt. You will not find a better place to care for your loved one. Tom and Denise Denio
Planning the service and working through all the necessary details took five hours, but Bob was perfectly attentive through every second of it. He could sense when we were beginning to feel overwhelmed and would seamlessly redirect the conversation, returning to the topic when it was appropriate. He knew just when to lighten the mood with a joke and when to stay somber. We are not a very traditional family and had pretty particular feelings about what we did and did not want, and he never showed a whiff of judgment or tried to push us one way or the other; he simply took in everything that we expressed and tailored his recommendations to us perfectly.
The whole team at Myers-Buhrig is fantastic. Liz and Bob (with support of Missy) led a seamless funeral for my father. In a most difficult time, Bob helped us make decisions that made the whole family feel healed. We were never hurried through the planning process, pricing was made clear and transparent, and the celebration of life was absolutely beautiful. They continue with their support afterward too. Truly a caring and supportive group who understands the depth of their role in the grieving process.
Everything from the funeral to the burial to the reception was handled by Myers-Buhrig and they did a fantastic job. They helped out at the reception, which was a complete surprise. They went above and beyond through this entire process.
You never want to have to recommend a funeral home, but if you are looking for someone who will treat you with dignity, respect and like family, Myers-Buhrig is hands down the best funeral home.
