I can see why this hospital has so many "1" or "5" star reviews, and not many in between. Depending on your nurse/care team, you either have a great or a terrible experience. Like other 1 star reviewers, most of my interactions with staff were either that they didn't know what they were to be doing, or "had too many other patients". There are a few staff who literally ran around, and seemed to get things done, but expressed a desire to quit/leave. Such a shame as it is a beautiful facility and has new technology, but can't seem to figure out how to take care of their own people or the patients.
I had a very good experience here. I was taken in within 5 minutes. I had to answer the usual questions like allergies and medications you are on. The receptionist was to the point and did her job well. I was taken immediately to a room and changed into a gown. They got an IV in me in no time! I'm a very hard stick. It didnt even hurt. Very thorough and asked many questions. Heart monitor and had a cat scan. Very quiet at noon and was done by 4. Very different from other places where you waited 4 hours before you were seen plus they acted like they did not know what to do at other hospitals. The nurses were very pleasant and answered questions. The doctor was very good and took a good amount of time with me. He encouraged questions. All the equipment like the cat scanner and other machines were right there in the ER. Nice feature.The ER was all in one with everything handy. Quiet too even with other patients there. I recommend this Hospital. You won't be stressed out. Good job! Private rooms. You don't have to share with anyone.
I love this hospital and their amazing staff! I was there recently with my father and they treated him so friendly and with so much respect. I highly recommend this hospital.
Took my 9 year old son here after seeing his doctor because I was unhappy with the care there. Well this place wasn't any better. Took my 9 year old for a possible concussion. First off the nurse wanted to give me her opinion on how my son should not be playing football and how i should want him to remember when he is old so I shouldn't let him. I told the nurse that him not playing football wasn't going to happen. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse. The doctor came in and basically told me that she couldn't tell me if he did or didn't have one because they had no baseline test on my son??!!! After I told her how I was unhappy with our previous visit with his doctor because I felt they didn't do enough she basically told me well that's the way it is and I would have to go back to his doctor if I wanted anything done. How could you not see I wanted to be sure my son was okay and not help me find a route to get him testing or something. Felt like I was a bother. Doctor had no personality and very poor bedside manner and she had a student following her. Ugh! Hopefully the student will not take after her in her bedside manner. Why couldn't she even refer me to a concussion clinic?!!! A waste of time and money! I will be letting my insurance company know about this. Such lack of help!
My five-year-old son had to go to the ER last night, and from a very tired, very relieved mom, I just need to say that the staff was wonderful to him. His nurses were so sweet and everyone tried so hard to make him comfortable, happy, and minimize his discomfort. His doctor was wonderful. The technicians explained everything to him as they did their tests and they made what was certainly a scary, tense experience bearable. I will be writing a personal thank you to them and hope they get the accolades they deserve.
