Stopped in at home depot to aquire a ceiling fan. Was not helped by any associates in the store, not that there was even one to find. Made a selection and headed for checkout. 8 registers, and only self checkout was available. I wouldnt have a problem with self checkout, if i got a discount for doing the stores job. As it is, I had to pay full price, while taking someones job.
Bill helped us with everything we needed and helped put it in the car. Great service.
I sometimes take my clothes off and walk around the store naked.... but not too often? I don't want people to stare at my muffin ass.
We bought a chest freezer from Home Depot on July 5th, and it was to be delivered July 22nd. When they delivered it, they didn't open box until they brought old freezer up from basement. Once box was opened my husband noticed a huge dent in front. We were not going to accept a damaged freezer. The delivery man called someone at warehouse & she told him to call Maytag when they opened at 9 to reorder a new one for us & they would call us within 48 hours to set up new delivery time. They then had to carry out old freezer back down basement and they carried it upside down! We never heard about the reorder so I called HD to check status. The appliance guy at HD called Maytag and told me no one ever called to reorder. He said Maytag would call us within 48 hours. That never happened! I called HD customer service to find out what was going on, spoke with Chelsea or Cherese. She called Maytag and was on hold forever! She also got an attitude with me which I did not appreciate! Finally got delivery for reorder set up for August 12th. Got a call from a guy at Maytag on August 10th telling us they won't deliver freezer bc they are out of stock! We were not happy. Husband called HD and got the run around. Basically, they sold our freezer, which we paid for on July 5th, to someone else. He said they could deliver another one on August 16th. We work and asked if they could deliver it August 18th after one. The person said had to talk to warehouse to find out. Well, they called back and said they can't do it, so long story short, we told them to cancel the order and refund our money! Such a hassle dealing with HD over this! We will never buy anything from them again. We ended up going to a local small business appliance store to get the freezer. We paid a little more, but they had it to us in 2 days at our convenience. It was worth the extra money! Big Box stores don't care about their customers! Also, last year we spent over $3,000 at Home Depot on appliances when we remodeled our kitchen. Thank God they weren't damaged! You would think with all the money we spent there they would treat us better. Like I said, they don't care.
It can be difficult to get help at this store.
Our latest experience at this Home Depot was amazing. I can't say enough good things about the Manager, Dennis, & all of the associates. We were rushing to find a few last minute things as the store was about to close. We were so impressed with how helpful, knowledgeable, kind & courteous everyone was.
